The county government has set up specific services for people who go to Taiwan in an emergency

Because the plane tickets to Taiwan and Kinmen are hard to obtain, the county government has set up an operation counter especially, which is provided for local people who have emergent needs, to assist people with special needs in having the priority to board a plane. Local people can take advantage of this much more.
County Magistrate Li Wo-Shi paid much attention to the problem regarding people’s needs to have the priority to board a plane in case of any emergent medical transfer or any funeral. After he assumed office, he immediately ordered that an administrative operation counter should be set up, which was established completely before the Chinese New Year in February last year (2010). It aims to assist people with special needs in having the priority to board a plane in case of any emergency, for providing the timeliest help.
If any local people has the emergent need to board a plane (ex. for medical treatment or funeral), please contact the service counters, such as(082)320-330 or 0913-121513, Li Ming-Hsuan, at County Government Service Center; (02)2322-4365 or 0939-716846, Chen Yung-Fu, Director of Taipei Service Center; 0982-340716, Nieh Cheng-Wei, Director of Taichung Service Center; and 0912-578823, Tsai Chung-Pan, Director of Kaohsiung Service Center. Also, the services for verifying the documents for special needs (ex. medical transfer sheet, revisit proof of serious illnesses and injury) are also provided, so as to assist local people with emergent needs in having the priority to board a plane.
Up to now, the operation of this mechanism has served 357 persons for going to Taiwan and Kinmen timely, said the county government. Local people with special needs can take advantage of this much more.
