For joint celebration of centennial national anniversary and the 331st anniversary of City-God Temple Festival, Kinchen Town is being proposed “Creating A Guinness World Record for Joint Celebration of Centennial National and Temple Festival”. It will need to recruit 1,000 volunteers to join this centipede role playing chain parade for creating a Guinness World Record. The spokesman for this festival, Tung Fung, a super military movie star, arrived in Kinmen to make participation registration for centipede chair chain parade. More than 1,000 volunteers will join this parade to escort ” the City God” in downtown streets on May 14th *April 12th in Chinese calendar) cooperating for creating a Guinness World Record.
Kinchen Town held a press conference for “Centennial Kinmen History/ and Everybody Joining Centipede Role-Playing Parade” in Wu Island(the alternative name of Kinmen) City God Temple square in yesterday afternoon. Town mayor, Town legislation chairman, County tourism bureau chief hosted the consecration ceremony. Legislation Chairman, Town Mayo, Tourism Bureau Chief and Wu Island City God Temple Chief Executive all participate in a small scale centipede rehearsal.
Tourism Bureau Chief said that Kinmen is well known its long history and traditional culture and has become the center for researching South Fujien culture. Every temple in this island holds an anniversary worship celebration activity one by one all around the year. Among all temples, the Wu Island City God Temple Anniversary Worship Ceremony is the most spectacular. For joint celebration of centennial national foundation and City God Temple festival, Kinmen County will hold the two most characteristic localized cultural and activities, “Centipede Role Playing Chain Parade” and “One-Hundred Knot Chain “ intending to create a Guinness World Record. Lots of tourists will travel to Kinmen then and can thus benefit the local tourism. County government is making propaganda via all press medias to attract tourists as many as possible for joining this spectacular “Temple Festival/One Thousand People Chain Parade”.
The event director, Kinchen Town mayor indicated that for joint celebration of centennial national anniversary and Wu Island City God Temple Migration Worship Festival, it is already proposed to roll out the two most two most localized cultural activities, “Centipede Role Playing Chain Parade” and “One-Hundred Knot Chain “ with intention of creating a Guinness World Record, glorifying the two most unique Kinmen traditional festival parade and promoting Kinmen awareness and popularity worldwide.
He also indicated that this the most unique spectacles for this festival celebration will be the well-known traditional human-shouldered centipede role playing parade. It is planned to recruit 1,000 volunteers to participate in this parade for creating a Guinness World Record glorifying this tradition activity of Kinmen.
Upon hearing the Wu Island Temple Festival application for Guinness World Record, the festival spokesman, Tung Fung, the hottest military film star, rushed to Kinmen to make participation registration and conducted volunteer recruitment propaganda for “Creating a Guinness World Record For Joint Celebration of Centennial National Foundation/Thousand People Centipede Role Playing Parade”. Mr. Tung Fung will also join with all people to in this 100 people human-shouldered centipede chair chain role playing parade on May 14th (April 12th in Chinese lunar calendar) trying to creating a Guinness World Record with everybody.
The festival event spokesman expressed he does honor being the spokesman for this event and has irreplaceable affection for uniqueness and charm of Kinmen culture. Upon hearing the Wu Island Temple Festival application for Guinness World Record, the festival spokesman, he rushed to make participation registration wishing to achieve a historical record with everybody and gain the City God’s blessing for helping him achieving excellent performance in his star career.

The check-in registration and rehearsal will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on April 30th and May 7th, respectively in Kinmen High School Stadium (the temporarily proposed venue).
A rehearsal will also be scheduled for participants outside of Kinmen County (currently scheduled in afternoon of May 12th and May 13th respectively) (subject to change in consideration of practical situations)
