This year is the 100th national foundation anniversary and also 331st God-City temple anniversary in Wu Island (an alternative name for Kinmen). Kinchen Township Office proposes an 100 knot centipede role-playing parade for celebration of City-God Temple Festival. The event hosting unit has invited an super military movie star Tung serving as the spokesman for this festival for the joint celebration of this local religious festival and centennial national foundation. Kinchen Township Office advocates people to join this parade wishing to create a Guinness World Record. This event participation registration can be made via internet or by phone, 0977-111-788, before the deadline of April 29th.
It is being proposed this 100-knot centipede role-playing parade would create a Guinness World Record. Kinchen Town mayor wishes this traditional human-shouldered centipede wood chair chain parade would enhance Kinmen awareness and popularity in the world. It is being proposed to recruit 1,000 volunteers for joining this human-shouldered parade to create a Guinness World Record glorifying the whole Kinmen.
Town mayor indicated that the Kinmen City-God festival mania in every April is as spectacular as the famous Taiwan Matzu Goddess festival mania in every March. The Town Office is doing the best for preparation of holding a spectacular parade for celebration of this festival on April 12th of Chinese lunar calendar. Kinchen Town Office will launch the most unique local cultural activities, “100-Knot Centipede Role Play Chain Parade” to create a Guinness World Record glorifying Kinmen traditional festival parade and promote Kinmen worldwide awareness and popularity.
Kinchen Town Office states that it is being proposed to recruit 864 volunteers for shouldering centipede role playing chain parade, 20 volunteers serving as team directors, 40 volunteers as cosmetics artists for parade role-playing players, 10 as photography team, 200 children for performing the parade role-playing. The Kinmen unique traditional festival parade will be broadcasted worldwide by all press medias. It can thus promote Kinmen’s worldwide awareness and popularity.
Kinchen Town Offices states that every participant will be gifted one Guinness World Record Certificate and Activity Participation Certicate(after the Guinness World Record Commission issues the authentication certificate); the volunteers shouldering the centipede role playing chain will be gifted a set of Guinness Record Memorial Clothes(including a shirt, a ht and a pair of trousers). On April 12th of Chinese calendar, the festival spokesman superstar Tung Fung will also join shouldering this 100-knot centipede role playing in concert with all people’s efforts for creating a Guinness World Record.

The scheduled check-in registration and rehearsal are at 1:30 p.m. on April 30th and May 7th, respectively in Kinmen High School Stadium (the temporarily proposed venue).
A rehearsal has also been arranged for participants outside of Kinmen County (currently scheduled in afternoon of May 12th and May 13th respectively) (subject to change due to actual situations)
This festival celebration shows also include Night Role Playing Parade twice on April 30th and May 7th respectively. Those 2 night parade shows will need 48 children to act as the role playing artists in the parade.
