For fulfillment of “Kinmen Exercise For Health” in concert with Central government’s policy, the national health & body weight control, all Kinmen residents aged between 6 and 64 are all welcome to participate in this activity. This activity expects to help residents reduce total body weight of up to 2,800 kgs by means of health life styles. Activity registration can be made at each of five township offices or community health promotion center. According to “National Nutrition & Health Change Survey” of national Dept. of Health in year 2008, the ratio of obese or overweight adults reached as high as 44.1%. The ratio for male is 50.8% and for female is 36.9%, respectively. According to the average student body height and weight survey data, 1 in every 4 children is overweight or even obese.
For fulfillment in concert with the “Taiwan Nationwide Exercise for Health 100” of Bureau of Health Promotion, Dept. of Health, the county government advocates all residents aged between 6 and 64 and either having household registration, residence or employment in Kinmen to participate this activity. The children and teenagers aged between 6 and 17 and classified as overweight or obese are all eligible for making participation registration for this activity, according to the “Children and Teener Physical Structure Standards of Dept. of Health”.
All participants can be gifted a “Health Life With Exercise” Manual Guide. The activity registration venues include five township offices and Kinnin Township Pan-Shan Village, Kinchen Town East Gate Community, Kinchen Twon North Gate Community.
