County Mayor Li worshiped to Medicine God Temple in Lieyu yesterday and expressed concern for Lieyu infrastructure development. Accompanied by township chief Mr. Hung. C. F., he visited Yang Mountain Park, Dong-Gang coastlines. He instructed some opinions for proposed Dong-Gang bathing beach development project. He also suggested it shall conduct whole coast line slope survey to insure security. Security facility and management mechanism shall be configured properly for this project to insure tourists’ safety.
County Mayor Li surveyed Lieyu with his wife, chief secretary, Society Affair Bureau Chief, and Lieyu township Chief and also walked along the wood pavement mountain path in Yang Mountain Park to understand the barbeque zone facility and also the observatory on the Yang Mountain top located over the sculpture landmark “Wuwangzaiju” (in memory of the war in Juguang) and toilet facilities.
For building an observatory over the sculpture landmark “Wuwangzaiju” on Yang Mountain top, Mayor Li feels it might destroy the whole scenery. Alternative construction methodologies shall be reevaluated. It is a good idea for transporting containers to mountain top and transform the containers into toilet facilities. It shall enhance the beauty of container for reaching coordination with neighboring environment.
He also concerned for the operation performance of Lieyu Early-Phase Medical Care. He thinks delegating teachers to offer service in Little Kinmen shall be more feasible than that the parents shall take students to accept health check or medical care in Greater Kinmen. He instructed accelerating fulfillment of installing a service center in township office. He emphasized the county government can appropriate budgets for home meal delivery service for single-residence aged. However, the aged people’s children residing in Taiwan shall not simply abandon their aged parents.
For the Lieyu Township’s Dong-Gang bathing beach development project, he suggested it shall conduct overall coastline slope survey after finalizing the national park boundary. Security facility and management control shall also be well configured for insuring tourists’ safety.
