Tree of the County Tree of the County

Cotton tree, also known as silk-cotton tree

Cotton tree, or bombax, is a deciduous arbor in mallow family. The tree is sturdy with lumps on its straight trunk. During March and April, orange yellow flowers bloom and then leaves begin to grow. The flowers are splendid and dye-resistant. Cotton tress is elected as the tree of the county for it symbolized the residents’ persistence and the county’s blooming future.
